Serving Families for 30 Years

Fresh local seafood and incredible views of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico… The Crab Trap is everything you came to the beach for! With 3 locations along the Florida panhandle, we have become a favorite destination and tradition for visitors and locals alike since the first restaurant opened in 1991 at James Lee Park in Destin. Our secret to fresh Gulf seafood is from our very own wild fish processing facility, known as the Seafood Commissary. Located at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, the commissary is the hub for all locally-sourced seafood for the Crab Trap and their sister restaurants. With deliveries arriving daily straight from the harbor, each year the commissary prepares over 250,000 lbs of fresh-caught Gulf seafood such as shrimp, grouper, snapper, mahi-mahi, cobia, wahoo, and amberjack. The Crab Trap is fully committed to bringing only the freshest seafood directly from the Gulf to your table. Our vast menu also includes wild & sustainable Alaska crab, domestic crab claws, and jumbo lump crab meat. Local produce delivers daily to ensure the freshest flavors, and only the best trans-fat-free canola oil is used for frying. And most importantly, every dish is prepared and served to you by the happiest staff in the sunshine state!

When we say "Fresh from the Gulf" - we mean it.

Our secret to fresh Gulf seafood comes from our company's very own wild fish processing facility, known as the Seafood Commissary. Located at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island-Fort Walton Beach, it is the hub for all locally-sourced seafood for us and our sister restaurants. With deliveries arriving daily straight from the harbor, each year the commissary prepares over 250,000 lbs of fresh-caught Gulf seafood such as shrimp, grouper, snapper, mahi-mahi, cobia, wahoo, and amberjack.
